"ARK" wishes, and all its members are greatly pleased to offer our heroines/heroes the time of heart-to-heart communication rather than formal services. A Live House: The life style that offers a space that each individual is allowed to freely enjoy the live sounds within a casual atmosphere. "ARK" is a complete amusement-restaurant where music is always in the center. You can solely devote yourselves to beat of the music: a wide variety of original dish will entertain you with gusto, excellent alcohol will lead you to high-spirited mood among friends. "ARK" could be a bar, a restaurant, a concert hall, a club, and whatever the magic that adds a new nighttime-life to the city of shanghai.
Originality is the keyword in this Live House. The place where rare and fresh sounds leap forward to future musical sceneries from. The music that is not a mere copy of existing sounds, but those originally created by the artists for the Live House. The beat of the stage, synchronized with its most advanced and highlyspecified PA and lightning systems, is no doubt to make up a unity throughout the hall.

The origin of ARK
"L'Arc-en-Ciel". Their two new albums "ark" and "ray" simultaneously released in july 1999,topped the charts throughout the 7 countries: Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines with the total sales of 6 million copies. Nearly 100 million people in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China stood fascinated in front of their circuit "1999 GRAND CROSS TOUR" (the 12performances in 6 domestic cities collected 650 thousand audience) broadcasted on live via satellite. Today, it might not be too much to say that "L'Alc-en-Ciel" is an Asia's leading ROCK BAND.
The first Live House in China is to be opened in 2001. It's presence implies a breakthrough of a histry. "L'Arc-en-Ciel" wished to bear a part in the memorial event that may affect a great deal to the neo-music culture in the country: The group offers the name of their hit album "ark" to this Live House.
